Peterborough, GO to Adjust Transit Service Beginning this Weekend

Peterborough Transit will be adjusting service beginning Sunday, September 6, 2020. Additionally, GO Transit will be adjusting service starting Saturday, September 5, 2020.

Peterborough Transit
Peterborough Transit routes and schedules will be adjusted effective Sunday, September 6.
Weekday Service
Local Routes: all local routes will remain at the same service frequency, except for the following routes:
Route 5 Parkway: Route 5 buses will increase service to every 30 minutes from approximately 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays. Route 5 buses will remain at a 60-minute service frequency during weekday evenings (from approximately 6 p.m.-11:30 p.m.).
Route 6 Sherbrooke Street: Route 6 buses will operate every 30 minutes all day (from approximately 6 a.m.-11:30 p.m.).
Route 7 Lansdowne Street: Route 7 buses will operate every 30 minutes for the entire service day (6 a.m.-midnight) on weekdays. *Route 7B buses will be out of service as of Sept 6.
Route 8 Monaghan Road: Route 8 buses will increase service to every 30 minutes from approximately 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays. Route 8 buses will remain at a 60-minute service frequency during weekday evenings (from approximately 6 p.m.-11:30 p.m.).
Route 9 Parkhill Road: Route 9 buses will increase service to every 30 minutes from approximately 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays. Route 9 buses will remain at a 60-minute service frequency during weekday evenings (from approximately 6 p.m.-11:30 p.m.).
Community Bus Routes: All Community Bus Routes will operate one extra trip on weekdays from approximately 5 p.m.-6 p.m.
Weekend Service
All Routes will continue to operate on a 60-minute service frequency, except for Routes 2, 6, and 7, which will operate on a 30-minute service frequency.
Seasonal Routes
Fleming Late Night and Trent Late Night service will operate 7 nights per week. These routes will be operated by Routes 5A and 6C. The other Trent and Fleming Express buses will remain suspended at this time.
Additionally, Route 8 buses will service Spilsbury Drive in both directions, and Route 23 will buses will service a stop on Brooklawn. The Route 23 stop at Summit Plaza will be out of service as a result of this service change. Routes 3 and 21 will continue to service Summit Plaza.

Riders are also reminded to enter through the front door, and exit through the rear door, if possible, to support physical distancing, and for one-way flow.
GO Transit
Beginning Saturday, September 5, GO Transit will be making changes to Route 88. The changes include the adjustment of departure and arrival times, additional stops in Bowmanville, and increased service frequency between Bowmanville and Oshawa GO during peak hours.
