As COVID-19 continues to impact businesses, the Greyhound Terminal has been put up for sale in Peterborough.

The owner of the Greyhound Terminal in Peterborough has put the building up for sale.
Robb Bennett, owner of the Greyhound Terminal building on Simcoe Street made the desision to sell the location because the building is not sustainable for the low demand of ridership through the city.
Bennett said in a statement last week that arrive and depart at a curb side location once Greyhound service resumes in Peterborough. The city has not made an announcement of the new pickup location yet.
The building is up for sale at a price of $875,000.
Greyhound Suspends Service Across Canada
In April, Greyhound suspended service due to low ridership from COVID-19. "Ridership dropped as much as 95%", according to Crystal Booker, a Greyhound spokesperson.
Greyhound plans to return but are waiting for conditions to improve.
The company has also asked for extra funds from the provincial and federal governments to help them bounce back into service faster, but both governments have declined bailouts at this time. Greyhound has stated it will continue to seek financial assistance from both levels of government.
